We successfully resisted an application brought to seek leave to appeal to the Court of Final Appeal from a judgment of the Court of Appeal which upheld the order of a professional disciplinary tribunal. The Court of Appeal held that all 3 substantive appeal grounds identified by the Applicant, namely, privilege against self-incrimination, principle of res judicata as well as procedural fairness, were of no merit and hence refused to grant leave to the Applicant.
The case is handled by our partner Mr. Tommy Tam, assisted by trainee solicitor Ms. Caddy Mo. (Case No.: CACV 60/2012)
