  • Acting for a majority shareholder in a Hong Kong company against a just and equitable winding-up petition brought by minority shareholders, resulting in a no-case-to-answer submission and dismissal of the petition.
  • Acting for a personal representative of an estate in various proceedings involving partnership dispute, claims to equitable interest in joint bank accounts and an unfair prejudice petition.

Enforcement 

  • Resisting an application to set aside the registration of a Mainland Chinese judgment in the Hong Kong Court, followed by subsequent enforcement actions.

Debt recovery, winding-up and bankruptcy

  • Acting for property developers in breach of contract disputes with purchasers who defaulted on completion.
  • Representing employees in winding-up proceedings under the instruction of the Protection of Wages on Insolvency Fund Board.
